Traffic Coating Deck Waterproofing

The Outcome
This project was more of a technical challenge than most decks and consisted of the following steps:
• Removing the existing deck boards.
• Re-Sloping the support surface to create a correct drainage flow to the exterior.
• Installing a new plywood substrate and perimeter flashing.
• Applyling the Westcoat ALX Under Tile cementitious waterproofing system.
• Applying a base coat of urethane waterproofing.
• Applying a top coat of urethane waterproofing with embedded sand for a reduced-skid surface.
Since the outer edge of the deck was curved and there was a walkway on either side, the re-sloping portion was challenging and ultimately successful.
What our customers had to say
“As an attorney, I became keenly aware of the broad spectrum of relative quality performed by contractors. Your work on these challenging decks is certainly at the very top of the quality spectrum.”
