The existing tile was old and leaking water through the underlying concrete into the basement below. The customer had tried numerous patches and re-grouting without success.
We removed the tile and then used a diamond grinder to remove the mortar to expose the underlying concrete. All the cracks were sealed and new drains installed. A fabric-embedded acrylic elastomeric waterproofing system was applied to seal the deck. Ceramic tile was then installed over the waterproofing layer to create a finish that was compatible with the historic nature of the home.
Our 1917 brick Tudor posed many challenges, but your constructive problem-solving and diligent work resulted in a dry basement and a lovely new terrace. We appreciated being appropriately informed as the job progressed.
